Four Logan University Students/Alumni Receive Coveted Spots for the VA Chiropractic Integrated Clinical Practice Residency Program Class of 2025

Logan University is thrilled to announce that four students/alumni have been selected to join the VA Chiropractic Integrated Clinical Practice Residency Program Class of 2025. Congratulations to current students Chantelle Navarro, placed at VA St Louis; and Ahmed Jaafari, placed at VA Los Angeles; and to alumni Nicholas Littzi, DC (’23), placed at VA Miami; and Olivia Horner, DC, (’23), placed at VA Buffalo.

“Many of the candidates from Logan University were extremely qualified with outstanding CVs outlying their solid academic backgrounds, clinical experiences and their leadership activities on campus. As a result of such a robust applicant pool from Logan, four students matched the 12 available residency slots (10 VA slots and 2 Aurora Health Care slots),” said VA Chiropractic Integrated Practice Residency Director Jason Napuli, DC, MBA. “This is a wonderful accolade and speaks to the overall quality of students at Logan. It also speaks to how Logan’s vision for VA residencies has evolved over the years.”

The residency program is a full-time, one-year, hospital-based postgraduate training program, accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) for DCs seeking innovative training and experiences relevant to careers in hospitals, integrated medical systems and/or academia. It provides advanced clinical training in multimorbid case management, allowing recent graduates to increase their knowledge and acumen under the mentorship of senior VA chiropractors. Residents gain valuable interprofessional experience by collaborating with primary care providers, medical and surgical specialists, and associated health disciplines.

To date, 58 of 60 program graduates (96.6 percent) have been placed in hospital practice or medical academic positions after program completion.

The accomplishment of these four Logan University students/alumni securing spots in the Chiropractic Integrated Clinical Practice Residency Program Class of 2025 underscores their exceptional qualifications and reflects Logan’s dedication to fostering top-tier professionals in chiropractic care.
